SEAN HOULAHAN

owner & 2022/23 BOYS coach

Sean Houlahan started Houlagan Lacrosse in 2010 and has been growing the program ever since. Houlahan has coached many different teams within the program but most recently serving as a coach for the 2022/23 Boys team. Houlahan served as the Head Boy's Lacrosse coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, NH from 2015 - 2021.

Houlahan started his coaching career at Shaker High School in Loudonville, NY for two seasons. Houlahan got his first coaching gig on the Seacoast at Dover High School, serving as the Head Coach from 2006 - 2014. Houlahan led the Greenwave to it's most successful season and second NHIAA Division II Championship in 2011, earning Foster's Daily Democrat Coach of the Year. In 2015, Houlahan left Dover High and went across town to St. Thomas Aquinas High School. In his first season, Houlahan led the Saints to the Division II Quarterfinals, earning Fosters Daily Democrat Coach of the Year for the second time in his career. Houlahan has made the playoffs every season as the head coach at both Dover High and St. Thomas Aquinas.

Sean is a Latham, New York native, where he attended Shaker High School. While at Shaker High, Houlahan was Captain, Empire State Games selection, and All-County player for the Bison. Houlahan helped lead the Bison to three New York Section II titles, one of the state's most competitive sections. 

After graduation, Sean attended Boston College. Houlahan walked-on the then Division 1 Eagles lacrosse team, where he was member of the team for two seasons before graduating from BC in 1994.
